This is a Large Artist Jan Zimmer Paper Mache Alice in Wonderland Christmas Ornament. The ornament is a large round ball, that looks like a snowball. It is about 6″ tall, and has a diameter of about 6″. The ornament is made of paper mache, hand painted. Colors are nice and bright, no fading, no damage. Such great character to the faces! Wonderful details to the back scenery. Beautiful, gently used condition. The Duchess is a fictional character and the antagonist to the Queen of Hearts. The Duchess is not described in great detail, but she is known to be unpleasant. In the book, the Duchess gives Alice a baby that turns into a pig when Alice puts it down. The Duchess also has a household member named the Cheshire Cat, who tells Alice that everyone in Wonderland is mad. The back of the ornament is signed: Jan Zimmer, with a paper tag that says: Heirloom Ornaments by Jan. Please ask questions prior to purchasing items.
